How To Manage Ankylosing Spondylitis | 5 Must-Haves For Treating Your Ankylosing Spondylitis Flare

In this video I'm sharing my TOP 5 MUST-HAVES for when I'm in an Ankylosing Spondylitis flare! These are things I use everyday, multiple times a day when my pain is at its worst.

‼️ Please note I use the word "treat" in the headline loosely - these are simply things to hopefully help you feel better! I'm not a doctor or a medical professional, just sharing what I've learned from living with Ankylosing Spondylitis for 10+ years. Please make sure to always consult your doctor!

⭐ The gymnastics mat I use to make my stretching more comfortable (the pink/purple color I have is sold out I think but they also have other colors):

⭐ Peanut massage ball, this is AMAZING for the upper back, neck, between she shoulder blades, and the lats:

⭐ Lacrosse ball, this is amazing for the side of the hips! You can also use it for the back but I'd do it against a wall vs on the floor as it can be too intense:

⭐ Here is the yoga wheel I use; please note this is more intense than a foam roller so if you have fusion or are just starting out, you might want to try the foam roller first:

⭐ The Theragun massage gun, I HIGHLY recommend investing in this:

⭐ Heating pad with velcro strap, so you can easily wear it around your sacrum or low back, this is a life saver and I spend more time with this on than off:

⭐ Epsom salt for hot baths, I love the scent of this but you can also do an unscented one (or skip the salt altogether but I do feel like it helps a lot with the aches):

⭐ Gallon water bottle I use to make sure I get my daily water intake, makes it so easy to track:

⭐ I didnt mention this in the video but wanted to include it here in case you have SI joint issues - this is the SI joint belt I used when my SI joints were super inflamed a few years ago:
